- The Novohispanic Convent: The Case of the Northern Yucatan Peninsu
The Novohispanic Convent: A Result of the Syncretism Between the Ideology of the Mendicant Orders and the Economic, Political, and Social Context of New Spain: The Case of the Northern Yucatan Peninsula” Vanoye Carlo Ana Raquel. [1] Presentation was given on September 13, 2012, at the former Acolman convent. There is currently sufficient evidence to consider that the convents identified and disseminated by Manuel Toussaint in his texts are the last architectural expression of a process that began in 1524 with the arrival of the famous group of 12 Franciscans led by Friar Martín de Valencia. Before them, there were a series of processes and constructions whose identification, study, and understanding will contribute to the comprehension of other dynamics, such as the adaptation of the European convent to the needs imposed by the cosmogony and way of life of the indigenous people, which translated architecturally into the incorporation of certain architectural structures. These precursor buildings have been grouped into two well-characterized and thus defined phases. The first phase began with the contact between mendicant orders and indigenous people. This allowed the former to extract and formalize experiences that identified the necessary spaces and appropriate forms for evangelization. Very likely, the preachers began their activity in improvised and open-air places. This beginning is well described by the phrases cited by Valadés, mentioning the location [of the preaching sites]: in all places where they arrive to preach, but outside the towns. He also mentions the type of space: large dimensions, limited by masonry walls, and without being attached to any building. Therefore, there is no temple or convent there. The constructions belonging to the second phase are more difficult to specify. We know that this phase includes all those located between the appearance of the previously described ones and the Novohispanic convent. It is considered that all those who contributed to the configuration of the final building belong to this group. And, although many of them are unknown, it is possible to mention that any construction located in the center of a town belongs to this group. Also included are those that merge Mesoamerican and European architecture in their design and, finally, those constructions that, although of European design, resolve structural or material issues using techniques, tools, or skills developed by indigenous cultures. In a third group would be all those buildings that Kubler and Toussaint accounted for and studied, which exhibit all the European contributions and the assimilation of features that meet the needs derived from the indigenous way of life. In other words, these are those that incorporate from the former the architectural layout recorded since the 9th century, the temple, the orientation of the apse to the east, and the abbey to the south, and from the latter the large atriums, the Posas chapels, and the open chapels. The southeast of the Viceroyalty was excluded from the first stage of the described process: the design, implementation, experimentation, and evaluation of it were carried out entirely in the center of New Spain. This allowed the friars to go to the southeast bringing with them, besides their training, their new knowledge about indigenous cultures and the successful results of the evangelization process carried out in the center, ensuring their triumph. - The Nature, Art, and Magic of a Soul. Knowing Mayra García
Mayra García is a being who has developed a great sensitivity for nature and humanity. She has a talent for relating to children and creatively transmitting her ideas. She was born in the United States but her family is originally from an indigenous town in San Luis Potosi. She has had contact with indigenous peyote rituals because of her ancestral origins. But she treats these subjects very carefully and with a lot of conscience because she knows that they are sacred plants that should only be used for the transcendence of the Self and under the supervision of an ancestor or a highly honorable person. His art reflects the soul of a being in growth and in contact with the human essence. He seeks to surpass the barriers of the rational and find the place between the earthly and the divine. Some are copies of the nature of flowers, or plants in watercolor techniques but others of the paintings take her to a place of transformation where what she expresses only she can understand, it could be described as the third eye chakra in action, that which is invisible to the rational and not explainable to the everyday world. Among some of her paintings we can find the image of a being that is different from the human, we could say alien. She shows herself completely through her art leaving her soul open to you. Thus her art is an example of love and openness towards the other. Her art is an example of trust. Mayra has also developed a blog and a website to sell her handicrafts, to describe the trips she has taken around the planet earth on spiritual retreats, and to share fashion news with others. She shares ways to eat to get the best nutrients for the body. Ways to exercise. For her Yoga is a way to improve the quality of life of the body and mind, so she instructs from time to time some classes online and others in person. She has a simple lifestyle, likes to be close to nature and children and seeks above all to leave aside that which is detrimental to her mental health. She likes to share moments of presence with people. For Mayra there are no barriers of time or space, there are no borders, there are only places of friendship and love between human beings. She normally seeks to intertwine friendships with people and sees in each being their human quality. She has the gift to help you return to yourself, she helps you return to simplicity. she also likes to write as I said before she has a blog where she describes sometimes in poetic form her love for humanity. She loves music and all kinds of instruments which she usually takes up to celebrate her life and the life of other beings on Earth. “WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF MU CHILDREN OF THIS PLANET OUR ANCESTORS WERE HERE BEFORE US OUR ANCESTORS RESIDE WITHIN ~ THROUGH OUR DNA We learn when we listen Listening to ourselves Our voice within that Is only available when We pay attention to LOVE LOVE provides opportunities for growth and happiness We all know of LOVE THAT ABOVE ALL IS GREAT LIKE GREAT! - Quantum Bioengineering, Music, and Kora for Healing
Daniel Santos Burgoa is a Mexican artist, and quantum bioengineering therapist, and is a person who interacts with the heart and the emotional center with others. If something does not seem right to him, he immediately expresses it, which leads to a coherence of the heart and with it healing between relationships. One of Daniel Santos Burgoa's preferences is of course to compose music and travel around the world looking for new places where he can find more inspiration. But life has led him unexpectedly to the path of quantum bioengineering healing and he has realized that he can combine this system with his career as a musician. Thus he has managed to find unique keys to share with people about the coherence of the heart in order to live life in peace and of course full of health. He has managed to find frequencies in the Zahara desert with the instrument of the Kora. In this way, he has been able to break through sound barriers. He placed the Kora in the middle of the desert and recorded the sounds, the result has been impressive, what Daniel called the "Zahara frequencies", which he found after an investigation that they had a great effect on the body of the people. For the same reason, he recommends listening to them to help find a high resonance that helps us to link them with frequencies of subtle vibration, which lead us to harmony with the environment. He also told us about his encounter with the Kora in Senegal, Africa. And everything he learned when he started playing this instrument. The resolution of conflicts between communities through music, using the kora. But Daniel has gone deeper in his research and has been able to see that he can compose special songs for people to help them improve their relationships, and family relationships, and reprogram their DNA. To compose the song he needs to make a study of the people who ask for it, and work several weeks on the subject so it is not a cheap job, but he has told us that it is really worth investing in it. He told us about his profession as a guitarist, the differences between guitars, and the music that can be created on them. Finally, he explained how quantum energy works and the importance of the method to regulate our system and that of others. Quantum energy helps animals, plants, and the planet in general. It is possible to access it through our hearts. Quantum healing is a term widely used in alternative therapies and can involve various techniques to heal and cure diseases or ailments. In general terms, the idea of quantum healing is that the human body has the ability to heal itself and that with the application of the correct techniques, many ailments can be alleviated. According to the theory of quantum healing therapists, diseases are caused by the lack of balance in some cells within a system, that is, the sick cells do not receive "information", or energy frequencies to fulfill their functions in a normal way, producing a malfunction and consequently the disease. Quantum healing consists of substituting energetic frequencies, that is, balancing, cleaning, and reprogramming your cells to change the abnormal situation that causes the ailment. Therapists can work directly with the hands and special sacred geometry protocols for each case. And they can do the work at a distance, as they connect with frequencies of high energy levels. I invite you to know the different interviews published on YouTube in Spanish and now in English with Daniel Santos Burgoa, which we have prepared for you with the pleasure of providing you with more information about the new ways of holistic healing that are now accessible to anyone who wants to believe in them and help themselves to improve their quality of life and that of others. Daniel is open to receiving your comments and questions, for further interviews or anything you need you can contact us.

This time it is my turn to introduce a person full of peace and spiritual maturity, she is originally from the United Kingdom and has traveled and lived in the Middle East. She has worked for more than 15 years as a Yoga therapist and has been able to change the lives of many people, taking the stress out of daily life through somatic work. Thus, she has a great purpose to help others to find peace, as she has achieved it through the techniques she has learned. Kelly can lead workshops, classes, and various types of somatic yoga retreats. She specializes in pregnancy and directing the connection between parents and their babies. In 2022 and 2023 she had the opportunity to study to become a facilitator for Kiloby inquiries and is currently integrating it into her courses and workshops as a yoga teacher. Making her teachings more and more clear. Kelly Cooper can help people find the beauty of the present, of what some call God, or others call consciousness. She will reconcile you with your Divine origin and will also help you to find which emotions you are repressing th e most, which ones are causing the pain in your body, which ones are causing you to not be able to move, and will help you with the Kiloby Inquiries sessions to rediscover your consciousness. In this interview of more than 20 questions, you will get to know the therapist a little more closely, her techniques, her spiritual teachers, and above all the way she sees life. As a historian and art historian, I think it is very important to write about people who are changing the contemporary world and making history by correcting their attitudes, and habits, and above all helping others to heal. Psychological health is totally connected to what may happen to the future of our society. She also helps to remove stress through music therapy and dance therapy techniques that have proven to be very effective in improving people's mood and therefore daily creativity. All the answers were sent by Kelly. Without art society dies...but we will leave the subject of art and meditation and psychology for another time. For now, it's time for our guests to shine. Who has great human warmth, and we feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with her. To conduct this interview, I relied on information from Kelly Cooper's website1, Kiloby Scott's videos, and Kiloby Inquiries member’s page.2 We also invite you to watch the recorded interview which will be published soon on our Youtube channel Alasart. Art and Time. Alasart 1. Tell us about your life in a few words. Kelly: “I am 52 and married with one daughter Matilda aged 11and a cat called Cloudy. We live on the beautiful South Coast of the UK. I was born and raised mainly in the UK (we immigrated to Saudi Arabia from age 8-11 where I mixed with many nationalities). We settled back in the UK where I continued my secondary schooling. I have a BA degree and have had many jobs, always fascinated by humans and psychology, so most were connected in some way to this exploration in some way of the human condition.” Alasart 2. What is your actual profession and where do you learn it? Kelly: “I have been a yoga teacher specializing in pre- and post-natal since the birth of my daughter 10 years ago but originally trained as a career when I was 30 as I fell in love with it for its calming effects. I am also deeply interested in somatic body-based healing, nervous system regulation and embodiment, sharing in small women’s circles. Now of course I am starting to use the Kiloby inquiries to facilitate transformational work.” Alasart 3. Why do you do this profession, or activity? Kelly: “I love it and enjoy sharing how embodiment, yoga and somatic inquiries can help others. It feels very rewarding to share what has and continues to help me.” Alasart 4. How do you describe a spiritual life? Kelly: “Trying to be of help to others. Being authentic and honest to yourself and others. Taking time to connect to spirit in whatever way helps. For me that is communion in nature and silence but also connection to others. Honoring and expanding my capacity for love, including myself.” Alasart 5. How your spiritual path helps others, in everyday life? Kelly: “Helps others connect to their themselves, body, mind, and spirit. Empowers them to build resilience. Helps with self-knowledge, bringing healing and potentially transforming trauma. Alasart 6. What is healing for you? Kelly: “I find music healing, singing weekly in the forest in a group, dancing, being in nature and quiet and swimming and saunas. I also love somatic work and Kiloby inquiries!” Alasart 7. What are your favorite authors and music? Kelly: “I read many books but don’t really have a favorite author. I love books that combine real life struggles with the strength of the human spirit. I just finished ‘The Great alone’ by Kristin Hannah which was brilliant. One of the main characters was a war veteran and had PTSD and the story centered around how the family adapted to that. Both a tragedy and heartwarming. Before that I read ‘Wild’ by Jay Griffiths which was great too. I like usually to have some kind of self-development or study book and a novel to switch off and much prefer a book to TV. I am listening to ‘Existential Kink’ on audio, exploring further the ideas of shadows and revisiting Peter Levine’s work. “My music taste is pretty diverse and eclectic. I listen to what I am in the mood for. I grew up under the influence of my parents 60s such as Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and the Beatles, then a lot of 70s disco which are all still in my veins. As a young teen I was an eighties fan, then a Gothic into goth, listening to The cure and the Cult, and rock chick 2 listening and watching heavy metal concerts, loving Metallica and Guns and Roses. I then transitioned into the rave era as a young adult and later enjoyed a little reggae, R & B, hip hop and dance hall, indie folk and now the whole conscious music scene and newer artists such as Alexia Chellum, Trevor Hall, Peia, Olivia Fern and Gone gone beyond. Sometimes I play a reminiscent mix of some of older bands. Ones I may have on repeat are The Chili Peppers and sometimes a Radiohead track or two. Mainly though I listen to mixtures on Spotify and love a lot of contemporary artists, folk and soul sister music such as MaMuse.” PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE FULL INTERVIEW IN PDF FROM THE NEXT LINK. https://www.academia.edu/s/b4a4a3dc6f?source=link
