 VII. Draw or Paint Mandalas...

Art is part of the human being from his first steps on Earth. The way of representing it has always changed in different historical periods. However, there is a constant in art, and that has been the spelling of symbols. And there is one in particular that has been very important for humanity and continues to be represented today, this symbol has been named among the Tibetans "mandala". In this book, my goal is to present mandalas to a public that has not had contact with such knowledge and bring them closer to theory, especially to the different angles from which the subject can be approached. I started to create it when reading the books by Joseph Campbell, and Semiotics by AJ Greimas, I learned about the different approaches to art and symbol, then questions began to arise about archetypes in art, questions about geometry and mandalas, for a long time I only found little books to color or with a specific explanation of Tibetan art, then I began to observe nature, human life, geographical events, climatic catastrophes among others, and the question arose: If symmetry exists in different arts? , the circle has also been represented for thousands of years, why do only the Tibetans have it as a central axis of meditation? The mandala as an expansive repetitive circle of events and evolution, can be found represented within our consciousness as outside of it in the events of life, nature, and the universe? These questions opened the way for me because I realized that various cultures, civilizations, and religions have represented the mandala, but with other names. I realized that reality can be represented by a sign, just as Raimon Panikkar says

“Reality is a sign that, while revealing, veils. That challenges human freedom to interpret the sign”.

About instructor.  MA. Claudia Sangines Sayavedra

Graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico with

BA in History and MA in Art History. More of

20 years of spiritual study. He has studied  in Fourth Way, for some years

Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo, and comes from a Catholic family.

The course is specially designed for the verifications that Claudia Sanginés has had in her spiritual and academic path.

Thus, after 20 years, I managed to combine this knowledge of both History, Art History, and spirituality. Thus achieving a new way of helping others to learn about the mandala tool to achieve better results in their daily tasks.
