It is a foot therapy, a Chinese massage to relax and prevent illness.
We can cite its origins in antiquity; there are archaeological references that the Chinese, Persians, Greeks, and Romans all used reflexology to treat their ailments.
To understand how Reflexology works, we must understand that "The whole is represented in its parts," meaning that within our body there are small parts where our entire organism is reflected, and through the stimulation of these parts we act reflexively on the different parts of our body, balancing its energetic state and bringing health to it.
Within these microsystems we can mention:
The auricle
The hands
The face
The feet
The techniques used to treat the different areas are called:
Auriculotherapy uses the ear as a reflex zone of the whole body to treat different pathologies, through the placement of vaccaria seeds, or the placement of small needles or simply with a massage on the ear.
Foot Reflexology and Hand Reflexology are massage techniques applied to the feet and hands, where all bodily structures, including organic, skeletal, and glandular structures, are anatomically represented. Through the stimulation of reflex points with massage, pressure, rubbing, and kneading, the aim is to restore the patient's health, release energetic and emotional blockages, stimulate blood and nerve circulation, and induce relaxation throughout the body.
The face also reflects different areas of the body, and facial reflexology, also known as faciotherapy, is used to treat various pathologies. This technique is not widely used.
